Landprobe

Many young—and older—city dwellers dream of life in the countryside. When this wish becomes a concrete interest, various fears arise: What does everyday life in a small village really look like? Would the locals accept me? Where can I meet them? The "Landprobe" project addresses these questions. It encourages "Landschwärmer*innen"—people who want to move to the countryside but hesitate—to experience rural life for a week. The project aims to expand their sense of possibility by rehearsing the process of moving and settling in.
